Health Kneads · Manual lymphatic drainage · San Antonio
Let the body drain, settle, and breathe.
Light, rhythmic strokes that follow your lymph pathways. Brought to your home, your recovery, your schedule.
The touch
Lighter than you expect.
Lymph vessels sit just under the skin. Pressure of a few grams, no deeper, is all they need to move.
The direction
Every stroke has a destination.
Fluid is guided toward the nodes at the neck, armpits and groin, where it drains back into circulation.
The result
Swelling eases. Breath deepens.
Most people feel lighter after the first session and sleep unusually well that night.
Why lymphatic
Your lymph has no pump of its own. It moves when you move, when you breathe, and when it is coaxed by hand.
After surgery, illness, long travel or long stretches of sitting, it pools. Manual lymphatic drainage gives it the nudge it was waiting for.
Health Kneads is Lori Lister's mobile practice. A licensed massage therapist in San Antonio for years, she now brings lymphatic sessions to clients at home, where you can stay wrapped up and rest afterwards instead of driving across town.

Post-surgical recovery
Reduces swelling and bruising after cosmetic or orthopedic procedures, with your surgeon's clearance.
Puffiness and water retention
Face, hands, ankles. The kind of swelling that arrives after flights, heat, or a salty week.
Immune and sinus support
Gentle work around the neck and chest helps congested lymph nodes clear during and after a cold.
Deep nervous-system rest
The slow rhythm drops most people into a parasympathetic state within minutes. Many fall asleep.

How a session works
Sixty quiet minutes, in your own space.
Lori arrives with a table, fresh linens and warm hands. You need a room with a door and about six feet of floor.
A short check-in
What hurts, what's swollen, any recent procedures. Five minutes, then onto the table.
Opening the drains
The session starts at the neck and collarbones so the terminus is clear before anything is sent toward it.
Sequenced strokes
Slow, stretching movements across the trunk and limbs, always toward the nearest node cluster.
Rest and water
You stay wrapped for a few minutes. Drink more than usual for the rest of the day.
Three days after surgery I could finally see my ankles again. I slept nine hours.Client, post-operative series
